Terms of Service
Draft of October 2026
Draft for legal review. This page is not in effect yet and may change before it is.
These terms are the agreement between your business and Aftermyth. In short: you pay $60 a month, you bring your own AI and phone accounts, you make sure your agents follow the law (especially for calls, texts and recordings), and you own your data.
The agreement
Aftermyth is provided by [legal entity name] ("Aftermyth", "we"). By creating an account or using Aftermyth, you agree to these terms for the business you represent ("you"), and you confirm you are at least 18 and allowed to agree for it. Aftermyth is for business use, not personal or household use.
The Privacy Policy explains how we handle data and is part of these terms.
What Aftermyth does
Aftermyth lets you build AI agents that answer and make calls, handle email, texts and web chat, work with your team in chat, and use the tools and accounts you connect. We may improve or change features over time. If we remove something important you pay for, we will tell you first.
Your account
You sign in with Google. Keep your Google account and any keys secure. You are responsible for what happens in your workspace, including what your team members and agents do.
Plan, billing and cancelling
- The plan costs $60 a month, billed in advance through Stripe, plus tax where it applies. There is no free trial.
- It renews every month until you cancel. Cancel any time in Settings > Billing; you keep access until the end of the month you paid for.
- We don't refund part-months, unless the law requires it.
- If a payment fails, you have 7 days to fix it before your agents stop. If a payment is disputed, the account is paused until the dispute is settled.
- We will give you at least 30 days' notice before a price change, and you can cancel before it applies.
Your own AI and phone accounts
Aftermyth runs on accounts you bring: an OpenAI account is required, Twilio is needed for calls and texts, and OpenRouter, Anthropic, Google Gemini, xAI and Apollo are optional. You pay those providers directly, at their prices; we add no markup. You are responsible for those accounts, for following their terms, and for their charges, including charges from what your agents do. Aftermyth shows your usage and caps some costly tools, but setting limits in your provider accounts and watching those bills is up to you. Some providers (for example Apollo) need their approval before you use their service inside Aftermyth.
Using Aftermyth lawfully
Your agents act for your business, so the rules for calls, texts and email apply to you. You agree to:
- Follow the laws that apply to your calls, texts and emails, including telemarketing and consent laws (such as the TCPA and Do Not Call rules), anti-spam laws (such as CAN-SPAM), and call-recording laws.
- Get the consent the law requires before an agent calls or texts someone, and honor opt-outs.
- Tell people they are talking to an AI, and that calls are recorded, where the law requires it. Every call is recorded (see the Privacy Policy).
- Have the right to use the data, documents and contacts you give your agents.
You must not use Aftermyth to:
- Send spam or unwanted robocalls, or call or text people who have opted out.
- Mislead, harass, threaten or impersonate anyone, or run scams or phishing.
- Handle emergencies, or make decisions about someone's credit, job, housing, insurance, health or legal rights without a person reviewing them.
- Give medical, legal or financial advice as if it came from a professional.
- Break the law, or anyone's rights, including privacy and intellectual property.
- Get into other people's data, test or break our security, overload the service, or copy or resell it without our written permission.
- Target children under 13.
AI can be wrong
Agents use AI models that can make mistakes, misunderstand, or say things that aren't true. Review what matters before you rely on it; Aftermyth lets you approve replies and test agents before they go live. You are responsible for how you set up your agents and for what they say and do for your business.
Your data
You own your content and your customers' data. You let us host, copy, process and send it only as needed to run Aftermyth for you, as the Privacy Policy describes. We don't train AI models on it. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
Other companies' services
Aftermyth connects to services run by others, such as Google, Stripe, Twilio, AI providers, Discord and Slack. Their terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them or for their outages.
The desktop app
You may install the Aftermyth desktop app on computers you use for your business, and use it with your account. We release updates from time to time, and some features may need the latest version.
Pausing or ending the service
You can stop using Aftermyth and cancel at any time. We may pause or close an account that isn't paid, breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or that we must stop by law. We will tell you why when we can, and give you a chance to fix it unless the problem is serious. After an account closes, we delete its data as the Privacy Policy says; ask within 30 days if you want a copy.
Disclaimers
Aftermyth is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond these terms, including that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose.
Claims about your use
If someone makes a claim against us because of how you or your agents used Aftermyth (for example, calls or texts made without consent, or content you provided), you will cover our reasonable costs of that claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we will tell account owners at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using Aftermyth after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can cancel.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of [state], and disputes go to the courts of [county, state], unless the law where you are says otherwise.
